This whole semester in multi-media, I learned that there are certain pictures that we can use and those are the free stock images.  Also, I have learned a lot on how to use the photoshop page, Pages, Iphoto and more from this mac computer. The most challenging one for me was working with Illustrator. Its been kinda  difficult and I feel like I need to get better on it because its interesting learning on how you can make images look the way you want them to look. With these skills that I have learned from the mac computers I feel that I can use them for other projects that I can be assigned on doing them and  then I can use the different places from the mac that I learned from here to something else or some other class.

Today I had to work on some graphs that had to do with what I ate the last two days and then plug in all my information and see all the types of dairy, proteins, fruits and any other kind of food groups that I ate the past two days. Also I just started with my picture of the food but I will have to finish it till monday because I didn't have enough to time to start on it today and then I still have to find the pictures of the food I ate.

Today I read an article and talked about if I was agreeing with what they were
doing and my thoughts about it also. Then I had to type it all out in my blog
and i wrote what I thought about it. Then I kept going with photoshop and the
stuff I didn't finish last class period in this class.

I think that this way of the chinese and Asians are fixing this isn't 
such a way to making all of this better and also, whenever the guy that
didn't get his car after three months later, then he should of thought of making
a brighter decision instead of typing it all down in the internet where people can
see and then make the Toyota company go real low and bad because of this
comment that the guy had put. On this different place, when it comes to writing
a different bad opinion of a company, it turns into a huge issue. People have
to make a big deal about it because they say that if one person just types
its own opinion about it, then more people can see and then probably even support
that persons opinion and then not be apart of the company liking either. I  think
its such a good thing for chinese companies to be acting like the way of fixing this
 because they just help it be better by finding the person or people that wrote the bad comment about it and also just get help from the clients by getting the good comments and winning the people back by going to their product but another thing, they also check how fast or how far the comment had gone so they check on Sohu or Sina to see if they have it, if not then it means that they
could probably still have enough time to make it better before it spreads to the people.
Sohu and Sina is a type of place where they write about the stuff that happens in comments, news
and other stuff that they think its good to talk about so people can see.

Typography

Typography is the art of arranging type and modifying glyphs.

Glyphs are the illustration of technique. It involves  typefaces, point size,

line length, leading and kerning. The anatomy of a letter form has its stem, base line and more stuff about it. Typographers probably was paid a lot because it made a new generation by designers of it.

I think typography is a lot of types of language form of how

to write it and if you use it for non-bad stuff like graffiti in a good way then its another form of writing

of art.

How productive have you been?

I have been productive a whole lot.

How would someone accurately describe your work habits? 

I think they could describe my work habits as something well done because I personally think i do very good on all my projects and work we have to be doing.

How have these work habits aided or hindered you?

I think they have helped me more by being able on using it more for projects in other classes and i can have better presentations than the normal ones everyone gets. Also, the steps to do something help you very good and explain very well with what you have to do.

As a result, what have you gained or learned from the past six weeks

I learned more about the colors of printers and then also, I heave learned a little bit more about photoshop and how to use some of it.

Today I used the spectrometer and found out all these weird numbers from different color ink.
Then I also played  bit with photoshop and also iphoto.

I think it works by the light that is by the color ink and how much it reflects off each other.

2. Were there any unexpected results? What were they?

I think yes because of some that were cool colors with other cool colors.

3. Were there any differences between the different printers?

Yes because some of them printed out a lighter color or darker color of the main colors.

4. Compare the printed color sheet to the one linked in the blog. What differences due you notice in the RGB display versus the CMYK printout.

That the colors from the computer are way lighter and you can see it better.

5. Did you notice the Hex Codes for each color. Would you say Hex codes have more in common with RGB or CMYK? Explain.

I think it has it more with RGB because I cant really find out why it would be similar with the CMYK.

6. Do you think the use of spectrometry is important for publishers? Why or why not?

I just think its important for like printing company's because they might need it a lot, but for publishers, probably also because of printing out different colors.

7. What sort of consequences may arise if spectrometers were not used in publishing?

The colors wouldn't show as nice and there wouldn't be a way of showing different colors.

Today I finished my graph color and then i worked on a picture and see how similar it would look with the other picture. Then I picked my own picture and I edit it and made it look similar.

today I worked with iphoto and then found colors with some type of color calculator I never knew about till now. I think its pretty cool. At first I didn't even understand it but once I played around with it a little, I got the hang of it.

Today I started my brochure and all i pretty much need to do is the writing because I already added the colors to my project at the brochure and also i added the title and pictures so all i gotta add up is the information and where people will go and thats about it. :)

Today I had to start al over on my project because I don't know why it wasn't saved after the other day that I did save it but I ended up finishing to what I had last time and next time i come I'm gonna for sure start on my brochure even though I was planning on starting today but I couldn't because it wasn't saved once again.

For these 6 weeks, i have learned a lot in this multi media class. Now I understand a bit more of the mac computers and i can control them better, there not as confusing and i can now even flip a picture if its on backwards. Also i can now know how to protect my identity and all my own information in the computer. Like making avatars instead of putting your own picture or putting a different nickname instead of your name and even keeping everything thats not necessary in private. Also something important he had to learn was about plagiarism. It is very serious than what you think. Also about whats right and whats not right in the email like sending flaming emails back instead of reporting it.  Stock photography is also a bad thing because the pictures your getting aren't yours ant they could be copyrighted. There are some of websites to get free stocking images.Also, there are citations we gotta know about so we can make our information easier.  Next, i also learned how to use pages and how to make a project out of it. Since we gotta talk about a country, i chose Japan and  talking about it and making a brochure also in pages. I would say its just of way of making a project in pages and learning how to use its stuff in it at the same time. Sometimes we have to comment on other peoples work or write hat we think would be better or what we like and it does help all of us in one way by adding what you think is useful and maybe some of their ideas they recommend you.

I give myself a 4 because i think it does have everything that you need to get four points on the cover.


Table of Contents:I would give myself a 4 because it also has

Work log: I would give myself a 4 because it has 3 initial design sketches, the explanation of them and it stays with my document's style.


Bibliography: I would give myself a sad 2 because its only in the MLA format, and the bibliography is present but I really don't get about the alphabetical order part, maybe like an extra point for being in the document's style.

1- What is stock photography?
-Stock Photography is using photographs that you didn't take other then getting your own.

2- Why can't we just use random images off google?
-You cant use random images of google because some images are copyrighted and its illegal.

What is plagiarism? Any good reasons to avoid it?
-Plagiarism is when someone takes other people's ideas and uses it as their own, in other words when people don't got ideas because there lazy to think of their own so they just jock peoples ideas. The way to avoid it is to read the paragraph and then without looking at it get the main ideas of what you just read.

-MLA and APA are the citation formats that s use for these projects.

The country i chose was Japan. It seemed like a type of country to go visit and there are a bunch of different types of interesting places and different foods. A lot of tourists go to Japan and come back with a smile on their faces without any regret of having to visit Japan. I also wanted to choose Australia but I figured that asians are awesome so i just chose Japan.

Scenario #1 – A student sends a harassing e-mail to another student. The receiving student
retaliates with a “flaming e-mail.” Is this the appropriate response? If not, what would be?

-I think my response should not be something bad back because then the situation will just get bigger and worse. My response wouldn't even be a response because then i would just get myself in trouble too. I would just show the teacher and let them handle it themselves.

Scenario #2 – When hanging out with friends, one of the students makes a call on their cellphone and carries on a conversation while still within the group. Is this ok? Why or why not?
-i don't think its okay because if you are with a couple of friends and then you get a phone call and you carrie on the conversation then pretty much your just ditching your friends in  a way where your just not talking to them. The good thing to do is call them back when your done hanging out with the friends your already with. 

Scenario #3 – A student logs on to a free file sharing website and downloads a song they just heard on the radio. Is this ok? Why or why not?
-No, its not okay because you cant download stuff unless you ask the teacher.

Scenario #4 – A student follows a questionable link to a website and downloads a malicious script which releases a Trojan Horse virus on to the school network. Is the student to blame? Why or why not?

-Yes, because he downloaded a malicious script and then it released a virus. He isn't suppose to download stuff without permission in the first place.


Scenario #5 – An hour before class, a student remembers that a writing assignment is due. The student goes to the library, logs on to a website, and copies/pastes the information. Is this ok? Why or why not?
-No because if he does that then he pretty much isn't learning for himself and its just like copyright. Its illegal and its not fair for others because everyone else is doing their own essay and he doesn't put any effort on his.

Scenario #6 – At home, a student uses a software package to copy movies and games from DVD’s for his or her friends. Is this within fair-use laws? Explain.
-No, it isn't because its illegal and he is copying something he doesn't have permission by anyone to be getting DVD's and games.

Scenario #7 – A student logs into the school website to download the syllabus they lost. Are they breaking any rules or laws? Explain.
-Yes, they are because you cannot download anything without permission.

Scenario #8 – Students spend a good amount of time in class creating a web page for a school sponsored fundraiser. However, there website is not usable by certain individuals with disabilities. Was this disrespectful or wrong of them?
-Yes, because certain individuals with disabilities aren't usable.


Why do you think netiquette is important? Why are we suing part of our class time for this?
-I think we are doing this so we can now know better before one of us actually does something similar or the same thing as the previous questions and examples.

my own self grading

On the design template i would say that i could of gotten a 4 because i did actually designed it my way and the way i liked it in my opinion.
on the design tab gadget i would give myself a 2 because i really don't know how to put more and also because honestly i really don't want them in my page so i think i would raise my grade at least to  a 3.
on setting tab i give myself a 3 because i really don't get it but I'm sure its on the third one so its a 3 for me.
on protecting my page i give myself a 4. no doubt about it.
on posting i give myself a 4 because i do have my posts and the page i had to open up.
blog entries  would give myself a 3 because I'm not sure if their all right.
on commenting i give myself a 4.
professionalism also a four because it is all appropriate.

The survey results: the survey results made us realized what we actually knew and what we didn't really know about technology. And personally it helped me better to see what other students know more or less than me so i can know that I'm not the only one that needs to learn different stuff about the computer.

Experiences

When I first made the avatar it was very creative with everything on the page and thats what made it kinda fun on making one. Then whenever we had to make a background with our new page in the blogger website, it was a bit confusing at first but then i was able to find the different types of colors on the words, titles and links.
